The pedestrian mall has been brought in many cities for economy development along with drawbacks,such as simple form,disordered distribution.This paper reviews the course of the plan for pedestrian mall in old street of Ankang's new town,explains the the necessity and feasibility of the regional culture melting into the plan for pedestrian mall in old street,by investigating,analysing,comparingand combining the investigated fruits.This paper points out that It is feasible and important to design with regional culture,concludes its manner and method,and discusses the success experience of activity and vitality of pedestrian mall.
