Solid volume ratio is an important control index for grading design of graded broken stone; this index has an important effect to the ability of strength and deformation resistance. Through a large number of experiments, this paper has studied the grading design and performance of aggregate affect to the solid volume ratio index，and has proposed the control value of solid volume ratio index. These are great helpful to the grading design and construction control of graded broken stone pavement.
