Abstract:This paper uses ABAQUS software to study the bending load capacity of simply supported RC beams strengthened with AFRP sheets and the comparative analysis is done between the experimental data and the simulation data in order to verify the correctness of the finite element model. In addition, based on the above correct finite element model, various parameters studies on the bending capacity of the second-load beams is in the further discussion. The simulation results show that there is a problem of reasonable distribution rate and optimal reinforcement length in the field of study on RC beams strengthened by FRP; In addition,a higher degree of pre-loaded stress influence the flexural behavior of RC beams greatly.
