The new Bituminous Road Design standard (JTG D50－2013) will begin to implement. This revision mainly have five contents, including investigation methods of axle load spectrum and traffic parameters, design parameters of pavement and subgrade materials, indexs of pavement design, subgrade humidity and terminology. In this paper, the above aspects are compared with the original standard, and the reasons of the revision are analyzed in detail. The results show that new standard become more practical and secure than the old one and have higher quality.
