This paper introduces Leica HDS4500 three-dimensional laser scanning system and corresponding necessary software Cyclone Scan.The application of the system in geological engineering is elucidated by using factual examples.There is no doubt that Leica HDS4500 three-dimensional laser scanning system has largely potential application in engineering measuring and deformation monitoring in the field of civil engineering and geological engineering.
