    Abstract:

    Basing on the study of the professional 3D geological modeling software GOCAD,this article summarized the modeling principle and process.Combined with the obtained landform and geological data about faults and stratum from Dengying formation in Simian system to Quaternary system,the 3D geological visualized modeling of Shaopai mining area is built up by GOCAD.In this model,the DSI(discreted smooth interpolation)could clear up the aberration caused by Kriging when the landform,stratum and structural surface simulate are simulated.It is easily to reflect the actual geological condition by utilizing SGrid function instead of SOLID when face model is translated into volume mode.Finally,the application of the 3D geological modeling by using GOCAD was shown and the Slicer profile was given.
