    Abstract:

The model of square pyramid double-layer cylindrical lattice shell with 30 m span and 42m length was established for modal analysis and mechanical property analysis by use of the finite element analysis software SAP2000. The seismic response analysis of the shell structures was carried out with the bucking-restrained braces in different locations and different numbers under the EL-Centro wave. The results show that replacing some bars with the bucking-restrained braces in the double-layer cylindrical lattice shell could strengthen the damping effect. The replacement of the web mem-hers bearing more loads has a better damping effect than the replacement of other members, and the effect of replacing 48 web members is better than replacing 20 web members in the web-member re-placement scheme.
