    Abstract:

The static loads analysis of upper simply supported and the lower fixed double steel wall were carried out by using the finite element software ANSYS. The effect of the plate thickness, the thickness of concrete,cross-height ratio, the bolt spacing and other factors on ultimate bearing capacity were studied. Results indicated that appropriate thickness of the concrete slab can prevented effectively the lateral plate from buckling and had the beneficial effects on the ultimate strength of shear wall; Ultimate bearing capacity of steel plate increased with increasing of thickness and cross-height ratio but decreased with spaces increasing between bolt. It was significant to select the appropriate material thickness and dimensions for the application of the double steel plate shear walls.
