Four commonly used standards including American, British, Russian and Chinese standards for measuring the body and edge strength of glass are documented. The difference of testing sample and loading condition in each country shows that the cost of Russian testing sample is the lowest and the testing condition is feasible; and the Chinese standards for glass testing is the lowest. And Chinese glass standards and its design practice in the glass industry should be improved in the future.
