    Abstract:

    To conduct a more clear statistical analysis on the distribution of earthquakes and the characteristics of focal depths in China, based on the earthquake data published by the China Earthquake Administration, taking the data of earthquakes above magnitude 5.0 in China and surrounding areas from 2011 to 2022 as an example, we use the Python third-party library Folium for map data visualization to visualize the earthquake data and present the statistical results on the map. This enables the visualization of earthquake-related data on the map. From the visualization results of earthquake data, it can be more clearly seen that large and medium-sized earthquakes in China are active, with a wide distribution range and shallow source depths.
