    • Study on the seismic performance of cavity wall masonry basing on the finite element analysis

      Abstract:On the base of the dynamic detection on the cavity wall in the large rural areas of South China,the different conditions of the cavity wall finite element model for masonry structures were established.The qualitative structural response was judged by the modal response analysis,and the seismic performance was researched by the response spectrum analysis.The results show that the average shear stress suffered by the empty bucket is 55% of solid walls with the same size under the same intensity.The door and window openings,the vertical and horizontal transfer of the wall,the floor and wall overlap and the projecting stairwell are the weak parts of empty bucket against the earthquake,while the traditional structural measures,such as,beam,pillar,are useful to improve the seismic performance though the cavity wall structure is complicated.

      Abstract:A flat steel box girder with circular arc lower desk was analyzed by two steps with two models,a whole bridge model established by larger scale elements and a segment model established by little scale elements.The whole bridge model was analyzed firstly to determine the boundary condition for the segment model.Then the local stress distributions of the upper desk and the lower desk were studied based on the segment model with the obtained boundary condition under the dead load and the living load.It is found that shear lag effects are significant in the upper and the lower desk and that effects of the ribs on the mid-span section are larger then that on the section near the pier.Comparisons of the lower desk stress distributions between two kinds of the flat steel box girder show that stress distributions of the girder with fold line lower desk are uniform than that of the girder with circular arc lower desk.

      Abstract:We mainly calculated the Rayleigh wave frequency dispersion curve of multilayered soil respectively,including two-layered and three-layered soil model,adopting thin-layer method and rapid scalar method.In addition,we have analyzed Rayleigh wave disperse property of multilayered media soil.It is found that thin layer method is superior to rapid scalar method in low frequency domain,while it has little difference between each other in high frequency domain.

    • A prediction on ultimate vertical uplift bearing capacity of PHC pile in Quanzhou downtown area

      Abstract:Based on the measured data of six field test piles in Quanzhou downtown area,the optimizing fit analysis was conducted on the pile cap displacement curve of up drag for PHC Pile.Through software platform 1stOp,Levenberg-Marquardt was first combined with Universal Global Optimization-UGO as the fitting method;then the six field test piles were fitted by means of hyperbolic curve model, power function model and compound model of hyperbolic curve power function.The results showed that the fitting accuracy of compound model of hyperbolic curve power function was the highest,and all its correlation coefficient R was above 0.9999.Besides,such model had a better fitting effect on the uplift of PHC Pile than that of hyperbolic curve model and power function model.Generally,the error of calculated value and measured value for up drag of PHC Pile grounded on the mathematic model was between-0.48% and 0.55%.Yet compared with the value 1400kN of ultimate vertical uplift bearing capacity of a single pile from the test report,together with the predicted result according to the fitting curve,the result was more or less improved with the highest value 59.13%.Thus,the pile cap displacement curve of up drag for PHC Pile was fitted via the compound model of hyperbolic curve power function and the prediction was conducted on ultimate vertical uplift bearing capacity of a single pile,the result of which is relatively accurate and reliable.

      Abstract:Based on FE Analysis of six high-strength concrete columns confined by different intensity and different spacing spiral stirrup under axial pressure,the specimen stress-strain relationship curves and crack propagation rules were researched.Confining mechanism of spiral stirrup was discussed.And then the effect of the spacing and strength of stirrup were analyzed based on the numerical results.The results show that the bearing capacity and peak strain increase significantly with the stirrup ratio and stirrup strength increase.

      Abstract:Based on Timoshenko beam deformation theory,the governing equations for the problem were built up.The authors studied the similarities of governing equations between the homogeneous beam and the non-uniform beam,and then the problem of functional gradient materials beam bending was to solve bending of uniform beam and to calculate similarity coefficient of product.Through theoretical derivation and analysis of the similarity,we found that the bending solutions of functional gradient Timoshenko beam is proportional to uniform materials Timoshenko beam with the same size,boundary conditions and load conditions,This proportional factor was determined entirely by nature inhomogeneous parameter of material constants.

      Abstract:Aimed at the large deformation and nonlinear characteristics of the steel bar in the bending process,the finite element model of the steel bar bending hoop system were established by using the finite element analysis software ANSYS/LS-DYNA.The process of the reinforcing steel bar bending was simulated and the bending stress changes of the steel bar in different time were analyzed.When the bending angle of the steel bar closed to zero,the biggest stress occurred in the contacting part of the steel bar and the bending hoop Teleflex.With the time increasing,the steel bar and stirrup mode of contacting part stress increased rapidly,and the maximum stress gradually neared from the edge of the steel bar to the center.

      Abstract:The vertically tensioned prestressed concrete is a new construction technology.It is the stick post-tensioned prestressed concrete structures,but different from conventional post-tensioned prestressed in the construction details.The vertically tensioned prestressed concrete beams in the tension phase of the situation was simulated by software ANSYS.The laws of concrete regional deformation in both adhesive anchor position and bolt position were studied.The results can provide the reference for the design and construction of vertically tensioned prestressed concrete.

      Abstract:The fly ash were used as principal materials,the effects of the amount of the standard sand,cement and lime on the strength of geopolymers are studied by orthogonal test in the paper.The strength results of orthogonal test show that the flexural strength is 5.84MPa and compressive strength is 39.58MPa.It can be used in building load-bearing walls and other load-bearing construction.

      Abstract:With the example of garnet-biotite-plagioclase-gneiss from Qiliping,western Dabie Mountain,the P-T pseudosections were calculated in range of 0.3~1.5GPa and 450~650°C by using the latest thermodynamic data set and the software THERMOCALC version 3.33.The stability of rutile,ilmenite and sphene in such gneiss were discussed,and the retrograde metamorphism from high-pressure of rutile in this sample was analysed.The results show that rutile is generally stable in higher pressure than 0.75 GPa,and in lower pressure within a narrow temperature range;sphene is stable in conditions of 0.35~1.40GPa and lower than 565°C,and the coexistence of sphene with rutile is stable in a narrow annular range around the sphene stable domain;the rutile can be stable with ilmenite together in a large P-T range of more than 475°C in temperature and less than 0.75GPa in pressure,but the ilmenite is only stable in domain of more than 570°C in temperature and less than 0.55 GPa in pressure.The transformation of rutile into ilmenite in this gneiss and the water content in the rock system may constrain the retrograde metamorphic condition in amphibolite facies as 0.55~0.75 GPa in pressure and more than 570°C in temperature.

      Abstract:As there are high algae content in the eutrophic source water,the bio-filtration process,ozone pre-oxidation/bio-filtration process,potassium permanganate pre-oxidation/coagulation process and coagulation-flotation process are adopted to compare the algae removal.The results show that the algae removal rate by bio-filtration pretreatment process is ranging from 58.55% to 75.89%,and the average removal rate is 69.04%.With an ozone dosage of 1.5mg/L,the algae removal rate by pre-ozonation/bio-filtration process is over 85%.With a PAC dosage of 15mg/L and a potassium permanganate dosage of 0.8mg/L,the algae removal rate by potassium permanganate pre-oxidation/ coagulation-sedimentation process is more than 90%.The algae removal rate by coagulation/flotation process is between 87.86% and 94.18%,with an average removal rate of 90.68%.

      Abstract:The combined process of the powdered active carbon(PAC) and the ultrafiltration(UF) was used to treat effluent of sedimentation tank in a waterworks.The influences of the PAC dosage(0、10、20 and 40 mg.L-1) on the UF were studied.The results showed that adding PAC to the system could enhance the removal efficiencies of the PAC-UF for CODMn,UV254.The larger amount PAC added,the higher removal efficiency achieved.The addition of PAC could mitigate membrane fouling,and played an important role in the long-time stable operation of the PAC.And the performance of membrane could be recovered after chemical backwashing.

      Abstract:The genetic algorithm was combined with the simplex self-mapping fixed point algorithm to solve the n-dimensional closure cavity function optimization problems.Solution space of the optimization problem would be transformed as ndimensional standard simplex by homeomorphism mapping,then the vertex label information of the individual loading simplex of n-dimensional standard simplex could be calculated with K2(m) triangulation and integer label,and the coding and genetic operators were designed by vertex label information and function.When the loading simplexes of individuals were transformed into the completely labeled simplexes,the algorithm would be terminated and the approximate solution of the optimization problem would be obtained.The results of a computing example showed that the improved algorithm converged in the 6th generation, which had high global optimization form and computing efficiency.

      Abstract:The attack resistant-time difference of arrival(AR-TDOA) was put forward by using grouping information method in the positioning process,with the selection standard of positioning reference that the unbiased estimation variance according to the error assumption.By comparing the TDOA localization algorithm with the SeRLoc safety localization algorithm on positioning error,computing cost and stability,the results show that the sequence of their positioning error is TDOASeRLocAR-TDOA under the same attack strength.The greater the number of anchor node is,the larger positioning errors of both TDOA localization algorithm and SeRLoc safety localization algorithm are,while the AR-TDOA algorithm could keep the positioning error within a smaller range.Accordingly the AR-TDOA algorithm can improve the stability of positioning with a little increase in computing complexity.

      Abstract:By comparing the 2 types of the segment erector structure,the general lifting mechanism and the parallelogram mechanism,it is found that the parallelogram mechanism is superior to the general lifting mechanism in the spatial arrangement and structural performance.With the modeling analysis of the parallelogram lifting mechanism,the parallelogram lifting mechanism is optimized designed by use of MATLAB optimization toolbox.By comparing the force curves of the hydraulic cylinder before and after optimization,the result shows that the optimized force of hydrocylinder is smaller than that before optimization.

      Abstract:The triangular fuzzy number was introduced into the calculation of the network planning,then the fuzzy early time was calculated by the theorem of triangular fuzzy number addition,the fuzzy late time and float time were calculated by the Minkowski subtraction.The fuzzy linear programming calculation model is proposed by fuzzy distribution theory and linear programming theory to overcome the non-frivolous issues,such as the negative number of fuzzy,the no-convened fuzzy distribution.By comparing the model based on hierarchical linear programming and the correction theory,the calculation results of the theory model show that the float time of fuzzy is positive,the fuzzy distribution is convened and the computation is smaller.

      Abstract:Considering the rapid global convergence of the particle swarm optimization(PSO) algorithm and the strong optimization ability of the ant colony optimization(ACO) algorithm,the hybrid algorithm was put forward by combining with PSO algorithm and ACO algorithm.The optimal location values of the particles were generated by the strong global searching capability of the PSO algorithm.The total number of the ants was adjusted to ensure the global searching ability of the ACO algorithm and avoid trapping in local optimum.With the modified ACO algorithm,the optimal location values were further optimized.The hybrid algorithm is used to the optimization design of the light steel structure,and the design model was established.For an example,the wrap-round frame with light steel was optimized.By comparing to the optimization of the modified simulated annealing algorithm in literature the results showed that the hybrid algorithm which solved the global optimal solution after 61 iterations,was feasible,

      Abstract:The effects of removal rate and adsorption capacity on different adsorption conditions were investigated.The results show that the adsorptions of both Na-bentonite and Ca-bentonite strongly depend on the pH,initial concentration and adsorbent amount.At lower pH values,the mechanisms that govern the adsorption behavior of bentonites are competition of the metal ions with the H+.The basic mechanism is an ion exchange process while the pH values range from 3 to 7.At higher pH values(more than 8.3),formation of copper hydroxyl species may result either participation to the adsorption or precipitation onto the bentonites.Increasing initial metal ion concentration led to the decrease of removal rate and increase of unit adsorption of adsorbent.While Cu2+ initial concentration is 40mg/L,Na-bentonite has the removal rate of 98.4% for Cu2+ and Ca-bentonite has the removal rate of 81.2%,respectively.The maximum adsorption capacity of Na-bentonite for Cu2+ is 26 mg/g and Ca-bentonite is 12 mg/g.

      Abstract:In the study,the contents of three major nutrient elements in decomposed SMS from Pleurotus mycelium production were determined.The aqueous extract (AE),ethanolic extract(EE) and humus were extracted from this kind SMS,and their growth-promoting effects on seedlings of lettuce,maize,eggplant and cucumber were evaluated by foliage spray in various concentrations in an orthogonal experiment.The main results were as follows:the total contents of nitrogen,phosphorus and potassium were 0.21%,0.95%(P2O5 %) and 0.62%(K2O %) respectively.The extraction rates of AE,EE and humus were 4.05%,0.31% and 23.31%respectively.The increment of maximum leaf length was sensitive to the stimulation of the extracts and could be taken as a simple index for evaluating growth-promoting effects of different extracts in a short experiment period.The growth-promoting effect of humus was 1.48 times that of Nuobeining,a commercial foliar fertilizer.The effect of AE was slightly better than that of Nuobeining and inferior slightly than that of EE,but the differences among them were not significant.

    • Effects of water extract from Cordyceps sinensis mycelium on anti-newcastle disease virus

      Abstract:The water extract was obtained by aqueous leaching in low-temperature from Cordyceps sinensis mycelium.The toxicity and antiviral activity of water extract were investigated by using MTT method and observing cytopathic(CPE),respectively.The results showed that the concentration of water extract≤ 0.5mg/ml was no toxicity on Vero cells.Either pre-mixed the water extract with newcastle disease virus or with Vero cells for 1 hour before cell cultivation assay was able to inhibit cytopathic effect of newcastle disease virus significantly.The research indicates that the water extract has direct and preventive effect against newcastle disease virus infection.

      Abstract:In the hedgerow orchard of hills area,the orientation of row changes with the direction of slope and the crown span also changes with gradient to meet the requirement of sunshine.In this paper,the solar locations of different time are calculated by astronomical triangle formula in vernal and autumnal equinox of the 40°N area,and the shadow length of the tree body and its coefficient of shadow length are also calculated at the same time.The diagram of tie line at top of shadow is drawn based on the relationship between sun azimuth angle and the coefficient of the shadow length.Then the crown span in the condition of different grade on the ground can be obtained by using the diagram of tie line at top of shadow in two rows of hedges according to the two kinds of designed row direction.When the seedlings are in south-north rows on the south slope,the crown span is d=h·ctga·sinA·cosi;and when the row direction is between SN direction and 45°SE and the aspect between 0°E and 45°NE,the crown span is d=d1d =h·cosA1·(tgt2-tgt1)/[1+tgi· ctgα2· sin(A2-A1)]· cosφ.The example results show that the models are feasible.

      Abstract:The nitrogen infiltration experiment was carried out indoors with the self-made device of the film hole infiltration to observe the distribution rules on nitrogen transportation and transformation under film hole irrigation.The total infiltration volume of film hole and nitrogen distribution in soil under different urea solution concentration were studied.The results show that the total infiltration volume increases with urea solution concentration.The urea solution concentration has little effect on the ammonium and nitric nitrogen distribution in soil profile,while obvious effect on their amount.The amount and the distribution of nitric nitrogen increase with the urea solution concentration.

      Abstract:RED algorithm for network congestion control causes the shortcomings of the queue fluctuations,a normalized least mean square(NLMS) algorithm was proposed,and the NLMS algorithm in active queue management in the implementation was introduced.The performances of NLMS algorithm,RED algorithm,REM algorithm,and LRC-RED algorithm were compared by simulation experiments.The results show that the NLMS algorithm has good dynamic and static performance,and it can improve the stability of the queue and reduce the packet loss rate.

      Abstract:The ranking metric was mapped into high dimensional state space to discover the classification information hidden in the membership degree and the non-lienear order conversion,which could not achieve in the one dimensional space, was transformed into the conversion between membership degree vector in the high dimension space.The influence degree of the bottom plan to object was calculated to rank the bottom index,and then the hierarchy analysis model based on non-linear order conversion was established.The wastewater dam of a mine with foundation seepage was taken as an example to establish the three-layer hierarchical structure for verification,based on the 4 seepage reinforcement plans and 6 measurement indices.The results show that the model can implement the non-linear order conversion and serve as the method of ranking the complex hierarchical structural problem.
