The ownership structure of Chinese private enterprises has undergone three stages with different features:centralized ownership structure, diversified ownership structure and socialization of ownership structure. In the evolution process of ownership structure, the issue of control right contention is especially prominent between founding shareholders and founding shareholders, founding shareholders and investors, founding shareholders and professional managers. According to the reasons causing these three types of control contention, this paper suggests to mitigate the control contention by perfecting the corporate governance structure, assessing the risks of introducing outside investors comprehensively, perfecting the market system and incentive mechanism of professional managers, raising the consciousness of founding shareholders to protect their control right and so on.
