With the post-colonialism theory of Said as weapon, choosing the Chinese elements in American drama series as subject, this paper first illustrates the characteristics of Chinese elements in American dramas which is based on the west-superiority, and then analyses what consequences may rise from the ill-portrait of oriental images and the strategies needed to eliminate the negative influence and to improve oriental images.
