This paper introduces the general situation of the socialized service of University Libraries in the U.S. from the necessity, the pros and cons, the forms, contents and focus of service objects of socialized service practice of American university libraries. The socialized service of University Libraries in the U.S. after years of practice, has accumulated rich experience.
