The translation of The Analects of Confucius into English is one of the important ways for the western world to understand Chinese culture. Many Chinese and Western translators have devoted a great deal of effort to the translation of Analects into English. This paper selects the typical translations of Chinese and Western translators and combines the theory of cultural evolution with the theory of Meme by analyzing comprehensively the identity, motivation and historical stage of the translator. This paper probes into the different features of the Analects of Confucius translation in different stages and the overall trend of the translation of the Analects of Confucius.
