The "Taijiang incident" can be called the last battle of the "May 4th Movement". Around this incident, the whole country launched a battleagainst the Japanese imperialist aggression, which further stimulated the Chinese people's patriotic feelings and national independence consciousness. In the "Taijiang incident", young students discussed the countermeasures of "Fujian case"; organizedparades and speeches to promote the public to understand the truth of the "Fujian case"; convened the National Congress and promoted the great unity of all classes; led another boycott movement of Japanese goods to express resistance to Japanese aggressor forces; presented a petition to the government fornegotiation and strived for a proper settlement of the "Fujian case". These facts all showed the spirit of responsibility of young students in the May 4th period.
