The translation of public signs are essential to international tourists destinations.Among the problems still to be tackled in China,inadequate of public signs stands out as an especially serious one.This article provides a theoretical framework for dealing with the problems in translating public signs by using corresponding and substitution.It is the intention of the author if these public signs and translation can be of some help to the work of translation of public work in China.
