With the access to WTO,the successful Olympic Games in Beijing and the globalization of economy and culture,we join the international system and enhance exchange and cooperation of economy,culture and education with other countries.Accordingly,the role of English is becoming more and more outstanding.For a long time,examination-oriented education is always leading our English education.From primary school,middle school to university,the goal of studying English is to cram the exam.Therefore,the communication skills of English,listening and speaking,don't receive the attention they deserve.This paper dwells on the causes of "Dump English" and brings forward some solutions.
