Abstract:The teaching approach of English-Chinese translation in our country is over-simplified and inefficient.This paper introduces an SBI teaching approach of E-C translation,which is based upon the cultivation of learning strategies and aimed at low achievers.It attempts to integrate the cultivation of E-C translation learning strategies with the E-C translation instruction in such aspects as the Chinese semantic structure analysis,the shaping of the English sentence,the choice of English words and expressions,and the final check-up.This brand-new approach is intended to upgrade the low achievers' E-C translation skills,assist them in mastering important language learning strategies,promote their autonomy in language learning,and hence improve the classroom instruction of E-C translation.
