Brain twister is a kind of humor with mental skipping. The mental skipping in it typically reflects the semantic frame shifting. This paper attempts to classify the English brain twisters under frame-shifting theory. And based on the previous study, it tries to probe the differences between Chinese and English brain twisters, aiming to enlighten the reader to get a better understanding of cross-culture humor.
