Abstract:Different from traditional control-oriented government, service-oriented government make "publicservice" as its core functions, Government is no longer the superior regulator, but should gradually become theservice provider with approachable and down to earth attitude. Service-oriented government characterizes withmarket economy, citizen-oriented, public services, efficient administration and so on. Service-orientedgovernment is based on representation from Marxist thought, new public management theory, mass line theory,Chinese Communist Party's latest theoretical results and so on. The realistic power of the service-orientedgovernment is from the development of market economy, promotion of administrative reform, knowledge-basedeconomy and the information revolution, as well as influence of foreign government remodeling.
