《老子》“养”字词义考辨

摘要:
诸子之书,文词奥衍,且多古文假借字,注家不能尽通,而儒者又屏置弗道,传写苟且,莫或订正,颠倒错乱,读者难之。《老子》一书,更是多本舛异,字多殊谊,几多聚讼,迄今仍无定谳。文章仅就《老子》第三十四章"衣养万物而不为主"和五十一章"养之覆之"中的"养"字进行考释。全书"养"字仅两见,我们认为均应取其"隐"义,不当作"抚养""护养"解也。"衣养"二字是同义连文。"养""覆"也是同义。
Abstract:
the books of thinkers contain a lot of complicated and complex words,more loan characters fromancient texts.Lao-tse includes many words which are hard to define now. The paper studies and explains the "Yang" in "Lao-tse“which appears twice in chapter 34 and chapter 51.Throughcheck and analysis the word should take the hidden meaning, rather than the direct meaning of "to raise or nurture".
