Abstract:The novels of Eileen Chang contained a large amount of political comments and proneness. Due to thewriting style inherited from her master, Eileen Chang achieved her early success with novels full of rightdeviation. However, these works also included a lot of critical discussion about Kuomintang and the socialreality at that time. After the foundation of People's Republic of China, Eileen Chang wrote novels, namelyEighteen Springs, Xiao Ai, with the new standard of left deviation. Nevertheless, these novels created at that timewere soon revised back to the former right deviation when Eileen Chang left the main land of China.Furthermore, some new novels released at that time, such as The Rice-sprout Song, Naked Earth, also containedthe political deviation of right. However, despite of the political proneness in her literature works, Eileen Changmanifested the greatest insight on human nature and the world, which made her novels an eternal honor and beranked as the classical all over the world.
