This paper analysed the character of Hydroelectricity subject, introduced the content and processof hydraulic model test, put forward the practical teaching of hydraulic model test based on CDIOengineering education approach, and explored the method of design-implement learning and engineeringworkspaces design. The teaching provided students a chance to experience personally the process of CDIO,and laid the foundation for the reform of Hydroelectricity subject education based on CDIO engineeringeducation approach.
