Idiom is one of the most important components of social language and culture. It's a national'scrystallization toward Human life and livelihood precipitated through constantly long-time probing and thinking.It can well express the penetrating meaning through the metaphor of the image and succinct form. So, thestudying and researching the generality and divergence of the culture has a great significance for modemtranslation. However, the understanding and use of idioms is not an easy thing. Especially in contrast toconditions in a bilingual, English and Chinese cultural differences affect the idioms used by the analogy method.To solve these problems, this paper aims to explore the cultural differences between Chinese and English idiomsof translation strategies.
