Through comparing "bend" and "straight" in the different levels of layout and design of the architecture of human settlement environment, this paper analyzes the cognitive difference due to different individual concepts. From the perspective of value and concept, it discusses the deep connotation of"bend"-symboled layout and design, and proposes the sufficiency and necessity of"bend" in the architecture of human settlement environment.
