The Great Gatsby written by F. Scott Fitzgerald is recognized as an outstanding work in American literary history. In this paper, the work is analyzed by the use of vagueness. With its purpose of investigating the effects on characterization, background and event-depiction, this paper also explains how vagueness influences the thematic concern.
