Abstract:As an ethical literature of great importance, Sakya gnomic verses has been translated into four English versions. John T. Davenport's version, although profound and detailed, still corrupts Sino-Tibetan culture. The reason is that the employment of domestication method is influenced by post-colonialism. The subjectivity of translator serves as the perquisite of the use of different translation methods which leads to the restriction of ideology in textual organization.
