Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) combines linguistics and society, it studies the mutual relationship between language, discourse and social structure, and it focuses on ideology in the discourse as to reveal the relations between ideology and discourse. This paper is going to analyze the announcement to "Japan purchasing the Diaoyu Islands" made by the Chinese government in September 10th, 2012, based on classification, transitivity, transformation and modality of CDA.
