The investigation and analysis of senior technical talents' translation competence in Hebei province: the case study of full-time teachers from Hebei university of Engineering
Translation competence is becoming an important constraint on academic exchanges and career development for senior technical talents. How to cultivate and their translation capabilities and improving their academic translation levels aroused much concern of the society. This article presents some suggestions on translation competence cultivating based on the study of full-time teachers from Hebei University of Engineering, following the mode of PACTE. The author analyzes the the problems the high-level technical talents met in translation practice and the strategies they use in solving them and proposed parallel reading of specialized English materials, self-learning of basic translation knowledge, strategy guided translation practice and Internet-assisted translation practice.
