There has been a phenomenon of only paying attention to the training of students'professional skills,ignoring student's emotions,which leads to the separation of knowledge and emotional teaching in the independent college English teaching.The paper is aimed at revealing the drawbacks of the lack of emotional teaching to raise the measures to promote the emotional teaching by promoting the teachers'connotation and quality,using multimedia and internet,creating harmonious English class,thus to optimize teaching,increase students'emotional intelligence,finally develop a harmony between students'knowledge and qualities.
