The study systematically analyzed the historical process of food security since the founding of the People's Republic of China. We also summarized the basic experience of food security led by the Communist Party of China (CPC), with important practical value for the comprehensive reform in the field of food in new period. It needs to integrate the overall process of social reproduction for national food security. At different times or under certain conditions, the method of random choice should be used to determine the appropriate food security policy.
