Parents' accompany during the surgery is one of the important way to reduce children's anxiety. Through the comparison of parents' satisfaction, infection rate and anxiety degree between children in local anaesthesia operation accompanied by their parents and those in general anaesthesia without parents' present, this paper reveals the necessity and feasibility of local anaesthesia operation of preschool children accompanied by their parents. This study has shown that it is helpful to improve the satisfaction degree of children's parents and reduce parents' anxiety, having no influence on infection rate.
