Abstract:The paper aims to train medical students' communication ability and to explore new ways to cultivate the communication ability of medical students' doctor-patient relationship. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and psychological counseling are combined to investigate whether the two methods can improve the communication ability of medical students, who are about to enter the hospital for internship or work, to alleviate the tense relationship between doctors and patients.The study founds that EAP and psychological counseling can improve the professional quality and competence of medical students, help improve the communication ability, and achieve the purpose of easing the doctor-patient relationship. It concludes that EAP and psychological counseling can be used as a routine work arrangement for training medical students' communication ability, which has important significance and is worth popularizing in hospital.
