Learning ability in English discourse is one of the important abilities that students need to cultivate in the English learning stage. Based on the critical discourse analysis theory, this paper expounds the method of cultivating students' English learning ability, which is English teaching should rely on text, It conducts critical analysis such as dialogue and ideology in order to deepen students' understanding of discourse. This approach can effectively develop students' ability of English discourse analysis and improve their English proficiency.
