Translation studies of Chinese classics aims to advance Chinese traditional cultures and enrich the essence of Chinese culture Whether a nation can maintain its cultural identity rests with whether it realizes its cultural self-consciousness. Appropriate cultural self-consciousness are embodied in recognizing different cultural features of different cultures, and translating Chinese classics with universal values in proper way to meet westerners' needs to understand Chinese traditional culture without violating the essence of Chinese culture. To cultivate appropriate cultural self-consciousness is the key to construct harmonious global multicultural order.
