Abstract:It is necessary to reconsider and address new problems in Japanese teaching in Application-oriented Undergraduate of China to meet needs of students majored in Japanese in the 21st century. It is imperative to shift focus from cultivation of language ability to emphasizing on cross-cultural communication skills. As a professionally required course, Japanese Culture calls for cooperative learning, requires to develop students' capability of cross-cultural communication in the teaching process. Considering the limited class hours, a radical reform is high on the agenda which would intensify the positivity of students during learning.
