Abstract:Traditional teaching method can prove an obstacle to students' learning enthusiasm, autonomy and innovation. The reinforcement of the reform in teaching mode is needed in order to cultivate innovative talent in modern society. Blended teaching mode was designed with superiority of the traditional teaching mode and online learning. The paper studied learning effects of blended teaching through questionnaires and teacher interviews.The test was used to assign students in either a group of traditional teaching or a group of blended teaching.The results showed that the teaching method based on blended learning was very fit in teaching of urban ecology, which developed their innovative thinking, effectively facilitated students' self-learning ability, and effectively raised learners' interest and improved teaching outcomes.
