The multicultural values, conflicts and collisions of social ideological trends and the fragments spread of information in the we media age pose lots of challenges to cultivating college students' socialist core values. To adapt to the new situation and new problems, effective cultivating methods must be explored. In order to realize students' identity and practice of socialist core values, the media literacy of both teachers and students must be strengthened, the processing ability of information must be improved, the we media platform should be developed to take the new position, the discourse system should be reconstructed to control rights of voices, multilateral efforts should be taken to regulate, prevent and control public opinions, opinion leaders should be cultivated to sing out the main melody and practice teaching should be extended.
