The integration of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei not only brings opportunities for the economic development of Hebei, but also puts forwards new requirements for the training of talents. In view of the current situation and the role of English talents in our economy, various colleges focus on the training of applied English talents. Taking Hebei University of Engineering for example, a school with distinctive features of science and engineering, this paper explores its efforts in the training of English talents from the following three aspects:curriculum system, teaching model and students' practical ability.
