Comprehensive English is a basic core course for English majors, and the test of it is the important part of teaching. Test item bank construction based on language test theory makes tests of the course more scientific and standard. Before the construction, more factors need to be considered and the process of the construction should be based on language theory. After the construction, more tests will be applied to check the test item bank. All these steps are necessary. In the study, test results and feedbacks from students are analyzed which help develop test item bank, providing a reference for related studies.
