Grants policy for Taiwan films commenced in 1989. Since the implement of the strategy, the amount of the grants has been increasing year by year. Grants for subsidy are formed by direct subsidy and indirect subsidy, and its range is enlarged from the original fiction feature films and filmmaking to producing, distributing, projecting, marketing and the whole process of talents training. But problems do exist in positioning and execution.
