Abstract:"Rashomon" is a famous representative work of modern Japanese writer Akutagawa Ryunosuke in 1915, published in the "Empire Literature" magazine. When published, it caused sensation in Japanese literary circle, and has occupied an important position in the history of Japanese literature. Through this works, Akutagawa Ryunosuke satirizes reality, expounds good and evil of human nature in the transformation of the cruel reality at that time, showing his reflection on conflict of human nature and egoism. This paper will in turn show statements "of human conflict in "Rashomon" and reflects the egoism thinking, and then discusses embodied themes from the two aspects.
