Colleges and universities should constantly focus on establishing moral and cultivating talents, make the ideological and political education run through the whole process of teaching and cultivating so as to open up a new prospect for the development of higher education in China.The ideological and political education of college students in new period differs from the previous one in background, the social environment, and the quality of college students themselves. Therefore the ideological and political education in new period need profound reform and innovation.
