To reproduce in the target text the literary flavor of essays, the translation of style is of equal importance with that of content. Thus we conduct a sample analysis on stylistic features of prose and translation strategies involved in reproduction of these features, in hope that it can shed some light on future studies on Chinese-English translation of essays.prose translation; style reproduction; translation strategies; corresponding
