Abstract:Language transfer is one of the main features in the L2 and multilingual learning process. The impact of language transfer has been particularly strong in the primary stage of learning. The study of language learning is mainly founded in L2, while L3 acquisition as a new research field which has gradually become a research hotspot in recent years. This paper, guided by the theory of language transfer, analyzes the language transfer forms and reasons about college English majors (native Chinese speaker) in the process of second foreign language acquisition from the perspective of L3 acquisition:phonetic transfer, lexical transfer and grammatical transfer. In order to reduce the negative transfer of English knowledge to German learning and improve the effectiveness of learning.
