The May 4th Movement is an epoch-making event in Chinese modern history. It gave birth to the Great May 4th spirit featuring patriotism, progress, democracy and science. Driven by the May 4th Movement, China opened a new path to national survival and salvation and discovered the reliance on the realization of the plan to save the country with its scientific theories and core leadership. Over the past hundred years, Chinese people of one generation after another have bravely undertaken historical missions inspired by the spirit of the May 4th movement. Thus, the tragic fate of the Chinese nation of being constantly invaded and weakened since modern times has been changed from sinking to rising. With the advent of a new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, the spirit of the May 4th movement still has important contemporary values in encouraging the people of the whole country, especially the youth who high raise the flag of patriotism to devote themselves to the great practice of achieving the goal of "two one hundred years" guided by the socialist ideology of socialism with Chinese characteristics under the guidance of Xi Jinping's new era.
