[purpose/significance] The high-quality development of regional economy has been a research hotspot in the academic field in the past two years.[methods/process] This paper reviewed and sorted out the literatures on high-quality development of domestic economy, then summarized the main contents of current researches on high-quality development of regional economy, concluded the problems proposed in literature researches and put forward to the research directions worthy of attention in the future.[results/conclusions] It is found that the current high-quality development of regional economy is mainly carried out from three aspects. Firstly, it interpreted the connotation of high-quality economic development from macro and micro perspectives. Another aspect is to explore the realization path of high quality development of regional economy. The third is the construction and measurement of high quality index system of regional economy. Among them, different regions have formed different high-quality economic development strategies and positioning based on differences in regions, resources, policies, etc., while scholars' different interpretations of high-quality economic connotation are reflected in quantitative analysis as differences in indicator systems of high-quality regional economic development.
