Abstract:As one of the important channels of foreign publicity and communication, the translation quality of public signs in tourist attractions is particularly momentous, which puts forward higher requirements for the translation of public signs in tourist attractions. Based on functional translation theory and cross-cultural communication theory, this paper adopts transliteration, free translation and literal translation and other a variety of methods. Taking the public signs translation of Xinbianhe Scenic Spot in Suzhou as an example, this paper collects the existing problems in the scenic spot by means of questionnaire survey, and puts forward corresponding solutions on this basis, so as to standardize the research and practice of public signs translation in Xinbianhe Scenic Spot.
