The Communist Party of China has carried out ideological and political education to mass through commemorative activities, which has played an important role in the development process of the party and the country.This paper comprehensively analyzes the functions of ideological and political education to mass played by the commemorative activities of the Communist Party of China in the past, summarizes its important political function, educational function, incentive function and guiding function, and further expounds the specific contents of the four functions on this basis, so as to provide important theoretical reference and practical guidance for carrying out ideological and political education to mass through commemorative activities in the future.
